A Quality Professional with extensive background in classical pharmaceutical manufacture of solid dose forms, as well as in manufacturing pharmaceuticals for clinical trials. For the last 25 years Daniel has worked within the pharmaceutical and food manufacturing sectors starting in the Quality control areas before developing Operational Quality and Quality Systems within the Quality Assurance space implementing and maintaining effective Pharmaceutical Quality Systems. 

He is passionate about ensuring compliance and excellence within a new quality landscape and committed to continuous professional development to stay at the forefront of the industry.

Matt Clifton is a seasoned leader with over 26 years of strategic expertise in sales and marketing, honed through pivotal roles at globally recognised organisations, including the Financial Times. As a founding member of Meta’s international expansion team, Matt directed Product Marketing for EMEA SMBs, shaping innovative strategies across diverse markets across over a decade. Since transitioning to the cannabis industry in 2019, Matt was CEO of the UK’s largest cannabis event and its affiliated marketing agency. Matt’s profound expertise spans the intricacies of highly regulated markets, with a nuanced understanding of the medicinal and legacy cannabis sectors, as well as emerging opportunities within natural medicine. His vision and strategic acumen position him as a key driver of industry advancement.

Laura has over 10 years’ experience working in the legal industry in Ontario, Canada. Starting her career at Norton Rose Fulbright and then moved in house to Intact Financial Corporation, where she provided strategic and legal advice on the $1.7 billion acquisition of OneBeacon Insurance. Laura has extensive experience in structuring commercial contracts, corporate governance and the regulation of insurance companies. Prior to Dalgety, Laura was the Head Lawyer for a corporate law practice within the firm, Sullivan Law Ptbo, that provided legal oversight to her client’s business dealings.

James started his career as an Investment Analyst in the Oil and Gas industry, where he advised board members on strategic investments on a variety of projects throughout Europe and Africa that ranged between £5m – £100m.

James is one of the founders of Dalgety and previously held the position of Operations Director where he was responsible for the construction and operation of Dalgety cultivation and manufacturing facility. James remains the lead on all regulatory strategy and engagement with the MHRA and Home Office.

In June 2024 James moved into the position of Dalgety’s Chief Executive.

Ian spent 33 years at KPMG in Birmingham, including 17 years as an audit and advisory partner to privately owned entrepreneurial businesses in The Midlands. Having retired from KPMG in 2016 he has subsequently held a number of non-executive and advisory roles. Since joining Dalgety in January 2021 he has fulfilled the roles of Non Executive Director and part time Finance Director. He is a member of the ICAEW and CIMA.

A former Police Chief Constable of Staffordshire, with a career spanning over 33 years in the police force. Jane worked in roles including uniformed operations, drugs investigation and professional standards. As a senior officer, she led the force response to many high-profile operations including the national disorder in 2011, the London Olympics in 2012 and a number of terrorist incidents.

In 2017 Jane was awarded the Queen’s Police Medal for her outstanding contribution to policing.  She is a Deputy Lieutenant for Staffordshire and whilst serving as a police officer she gained a master’s degree in applied criminology and police management from the University of Cambridge.
